Surveying Services

With over 25 years of combined experience, Damian & Associates, Inc. provides a diverse range of surveying services in all phases of residential construction to land development. Using advanced technology, including submeter and RTK GPS systems, and the latest CAD and 3D Scanning software, D&A is prepared to take on projects of all sizes with full assurance that intermediate and final products comply with the latest industry standards.

3D Scanning

Our 3D scanning technology lets you analyze a real-world object or environment to collect data on its shape and possibly its appearance (i.e. color).  The collected data can then be used to construct digital three-dimensional models.

Automated Data Collection (ADC)

  • Data Collection Outsourcing
  • Systems Integration

ADC is used for the automatic and instant capturing of information from data sources such as forms, orders and some hand-written documents.  ADC also uses the latest OCR technology and enables the user to gather the full text from documents and later search them digitally.

Coastal & River Boundary Survey

Boundary or lot surveys are often requested by local and state agencies and are required to attain permits at the city, county and state level.

Construction Layout

We stake out reference points that will guide the construction of your project and are precisely placed using the latest GPS and survey technologies.

Engineering Design Services

These are considered indispensable design tools that provide base mapping of civil engineering and land development projects.

Field Support for GIS Data Collection

Field Support for Subsurface Utility Engineering Services

GPS - Static & RPK

  • Static and Kinematic GPS
  • Differential GPS (DGPS)
  • Real-Time Kinematic (RTK)

The DGPS and RTK are used to deliver the best results in real-time and are state of the art technologies.

Ground Control for Aerial Land Surveying

We can integrate various satellite imagery with other geospatial data to make comprehensive data available to our clients.

Horizontal & Vertical Control Networks

We create a framework around which other surveys can be adjusted. These control surveys are used for accurate mapping  projects in the construction of underground utility systems, roadways, power lines, tunnels and many other high precision projects.

Hydrographic Surveys

We have mastered the science of measurement and description of features which affect maritime navigation, marine construction, dredging, offshore oil exploration/offshore oil drilling and related activities.

Land Title Surveys (ALTA or Category 1A)

This includes boundary lines, location of the main building including improvements, location of ancillary buildings, the identification of easements (access rights by service companies such as water, gas, telephone, railways and other utilities).

Litigation Consultation for Boundary Disputes / Expert Witness

Disputes in a litigation context can refer to different types of situations related to territorial issues.  Land ownership can become complicated in the event of potential lawsuits, as there are a lot of factors to consider when determining easement.  Whether it involves residential, public, or commercial areas, court cases based on boundary disputes often require an expert whose background includes multiple areas of focus in land-related litigation.

Photogrammetric and GPS Control Surveys

Platting Services (Commercial and Residential)

When a property lying within the jurisdiction of a municipality, county and/or drainage district is proposed to be divided into two or more parcels.

Research and Location of Utilities

The process of identifying and labeling public utility mains that are underground.  These mains may include lines for telecommunication, electricity distribution, natural gas, cable television, fiber optics, traffic lights, street lights, storm drains, water mains and wastewater pipes.

Right-of-Way Surveys

a survey performed to determine the length and direction of boundaries, and to establish or retrace the position of these lines on the ground.  The purpose of a property survey is not only to determine the metes and bounds, but most importantly, any conflict in ownership or existing rights of others that affect the ownership of the land.

Route Surveys

The required service and product that adequately locates the planned path of a linear project or right of way which crosses a prescribed area of real estate, extending from at least one known point and turning or terminating at another known point.

Standard Land Surveys

The technique, profession and science of determining the terrestrial or three-dimensional position of points and the distances and angles between them.

Street Easement and Abandonments

The surrender, relinquishment, disclaimer or cession of property rights. Voluntary relinquishment of all right, title, claim and possession with the intention of not reclaiming it.

Topographic and Utility Surveys for Design

Used to identify and map the contours of the ground and existing features on the surface of the Earth or slightly above or below the earth’s surface (i.e. trees, buildings, streets, walkways, manholes, utility poles, retaining walls, etc.). If the purpose of the survey is to serve as a base map for the design of a residence or building of some type, or design a road or driveway, it may be necessary to show perimeter  boundary lines and the lines of easements on or crossing the property being surveyed, in order for a designer to accurately show zoning and other agency required setbacks.

From start to finish

In the fast-moving culture of surveying services, Owner Clients require not only proficiency and responsiveness in a Contractor, but also a consistent reliability and quality control in product output.

In addition to Client-specific accountability reports and deliverables, Damian & Associates maintains a strict level of internal project auditing, review and documentation.
